Beginner Mead-making Class at Wild Mountain Bees – 11/5


We are excited to partner with Wild Mountain Bees in our first mead-making class at Wild Mountain Bees, Saturday November 5th from 10-2! Turn that fine honey into a delicious beverage that will keep you warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and happy year-round. In the beginner class, we will cover the following basics of mead-making:

History, Types and Classes of Mead

Equipment and Sanitation

Yeasts, Nutrients and Additives

Basic Formulas

Fermentation – Primary and Secondary

Clarification and Problem-solving


Storage and Serving

Celebrate Asheville Bee Week at 5 Walnut with B&B

Summer is always busy for us, and we love to get out and meet our fans. For Asheville Bee Week, 5 Walnut will be featuring our products, and for the first time, by the glass!
